Your duties as an employer or occupier

Every workplace and commercial premises in England and Wales falls under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. If you are an employer, or you own, manage or control commercial premises, you are the Responsible Person — legally required to carry out and maintain a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment, and to record the significant findings where five or more people are employed.

In multi-occupancy buildings, duties are frequently shared between landlords, managing agents and tenants — a common source of confusion and gaps. We help responsible persons understand exactly where their obligations begin and end, and produce assessments that reflect the building as it actually operates.

Commercial assessments start from £325 for smaller single units, from £425 for larger premises, with multi-site and complex premises quoted individually. All quotes fixed in advance.
